We are seeking a passionate and experienced Child Development Specialist to join our team as a Lead Teacher in our in-home childcare/preschool program.Job Overview:
As the Lead Teacher and Child Development Specialist, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment for young children. You'll develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Your role will also involve working closely with families to support each child's growth and development.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with developmental milestones and best practices in early childhood education.
- Create a warm, inclusive, and safe environment where children feel valued and empowered to explore and learn.
- Conduct regular assessments and observations to track each child's progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
- Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication, parenting resources, and family engagement activities.
- Model positive behavior and social skills to promote emotional intelligence and conflict resolution among children.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or childcare staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and outdoor play.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate learning space.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding childcare and education.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood development and early education through professional development and continuing education.Qualifications:
- CDA or online state licensing continuing education training.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education theories, and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to engage with children and families.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- FBI and state Criminal fingerprint background check.- Physical, TB test and drug screen
