Northridge Local Schools is seeking a qualified and passionate Intervention Specialist to join our high school team for the 2025–2026 school year. This is an anticipated opening and an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and student-focused environment.Qualifications & Certifications (per Ohio requirements):Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.Licensure:
- Valid Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist license for grades 9–12. Acceptable areas include:
Intervention Specialist: Mild/Moderate Needs (K–12)Intervention Specialist: Moderate/Intensive Needs (K–12)Or equivalent licensure appropriate for secondary education.Reading Instruction Requirement:
- Completion of at least 12 semester hours in the teaching of reading, including phonics, as required by the Ohio Administrative Code.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience developing and implementing IEPsKnowledge of evidence-based instructional strategiesStrong collaboration and communication skillsContract: 185 days
