Primary Position Purpose:

Manage and coordinate trailers in a regional model to maximize return on invested capital. Work as a liaison between various departments to correct any imbalances/issues that occur, as well as provide visibility to pain points in your market.Position Functions:

Manage trailer network in assigned region to ensure optimal trailer supply in every market.

Single point of contact for all trailer needs in assigned region

Lead decisions on where equipment needs to land and/or shift to realign balances

Monitor revenue per trailer and trailer dwell in assigned region using various trailer reports.

Drive trailer utilization improvement by identifying and communicating high trailer dwell opportunities to appropriate departments and/or customers.

Collaborate with Account Management on customer change of business, closing of pool. Facilitates removal of trailers, updating of customer trailer pool type and commitments.

Drive maximum revenue generation of equipment by ensuring detention and trailer related accessorial fees are billed and paid.Utilizes the Trailer Velocity Report to find unproductive trailers in all markets and works with Planning, Customer Service, XRA, Fleets, and Assets to get the trailers back in a productive state.

Works with Account Management on new OTR and Dedicated customer start-ups. Ensure requirements are being met by agreed upon timeline.

Participates in onboarding call.

Provides trailer locations

Confirms customer pool type and commitment are accurate

Confirms customer polygon is correctWork with AM to vet trailer pool commitments monthly

Adjust as needed to ensure maximum utilization

Reconcile Terminal Yard checks

If spotted incorrectly, research and re-spot to correct location

Maintain trailer balance percentage targets by market and provide solutions for maintaining trailer network

Review and address trailer exclusions with appropriate customer service leaders and/or sales leadership to reduce rework and drive better trailer pool accuracy.

Communicates with Dedicated on new and existing business and associated trailer needs.

Create accountability with Account Management team for all assigned KPIs.What We're Looking For:
Education

Associate degree or equivalent experience required.Experience:

1+ year experience in operations within the transportation industry requiredSkills & Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task and handle a fast paced, changing environment

Problem solving skills
