We're hiring a Product Manager Intern for 2025 – 2026! This is a full-time 9 month internship where you'll work side-by-side with our Product, Design, and Engineering teams to help shape our roadmap, ship real features, and improve the lives of our users.

This internship is designed as a launchpad and for the right candidate our goal is to convert this into a full-time PM role at the end of the program.

Launched in 2018, Clerkie began with an app, aiming to help the nearly 123 million underserved Americans in need of financial guidance. Since its inception, the company has expanded its services and now pairs consumer guidance with cutting-edge B2B software. By pairing the two through the Clerkie network, these tools have become the go-to resource for creditors looking to manage loan losses while simultaneously helping millions of borrowers get out of debt.

Clerkie is a remote-first company, with over 30 employees spanning 4 time zones across the United States. To date, the company has raised $41 million, including a $33 million Series A round in early 2023. Investors include leading financial and venture institutions, including Citi Ventures, Left Lane Capital, Wellington Ventures, Flourish Ventures, and Vestigo Ventures.

About the role

We're looking for a driven, curious, and collaborative Product Manager Intern to join our small-but-mighty Product team for a 9 month journey of hands-on experience, mentorship, and impact. This is an opportunity to stretch your thinking, own meaningful workstreams, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how product is built in a fast-paced Series A startup.

This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their product career - maybe it's your first formal PM role or your second. You'll work elbow-to-elbow with our 3 other Product Managers plus our CEO and co-founder supporting both our consumer-facing tools and our B2B infrastructure. You'll gain experience in research, discovery, prioritization, sprint planning, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Our goal? For this internship to be a launchpad into full-time product work - here at Clerkie, or wherever your career takes you next.

Here's what you'll do
• Partner with PMs, designers, and engineers to explore problems and shape solutions
• Work directly on high-priority initiatives across our SaaS products
• Support discovery, documentation, and delivery for key product workstreams
• Join (and contribute to!) team rituals like sprint planning, retros, and roadmap reviews
• Help scope and ship features from research through release
• Keep the team organized with clear requirements, thoughtful tracking, and great communication
• Bring fresh eyes, user empathy, and curiosity to everything you touch

Here's a snapshot of what the Product team tackled last month
• Partnered with Design and Engineering to create some super slick sandbox demos that helped us win big deals
• Contributed to high-priority builds for enterprise partners, pressure-testing our infrastructure to support scale
• Collaborated directly with our SLT to scope and prioritize key updates across multiple product experiences
• Added our voice to the evolving product strategy and roadmap, helping shape how Clerkie and Fiber deliver value across every touchpoint
• Helped clean up and organize Coda, our internal knowledge hub, to make life easier for future new hires (like you!)
• Onboarded a new teammate to the Product team and updated internal rituals to set them up for success
• Spent the day on a private yacht in the Bahamas (yep), swimming with pigs, paddleboarding, jet skiing, and joining our team hackathon on a private island
• And more! From big wins to team traditions, it's been a month - and we're just getting started

Must-haves
• Interest in building a career in Product

• A collaborative spirit and appreciation for feedback
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment

Nice-to-haves (not required)
• Prior experience in a tech company, startup, or product-adjacent role
• Familiarity with Agile, Jira, Coda, or Figma
• Background in CS, business, design, analytics, or another relevant field
• A basic understanding of how software gets built (or a desire to learn)
• Passion for financial wellness, tech-for-good, or startup life

Our salary and benefits
• Salary range: $60-80k (prorated over 9 months)
• Option to convert to fulltime at the end of internship

• Intro Call w/ Head of People (20–30 min)
• Hiring Manager Meeting w/ Product Manager (45 min)
• Take-Home Challenge + Presentation (async + 1 hour live review with Product Team)
• Final Leadership Meeting w/ an Executive (30–45 min)
